I’ve seen some comments asking if “Helen Remus” was an actual victim of The Green River Killer and she was not. This is from an article discussing the Made For TV movie about the case.
But rather than just telling a cat-and-monstrous-mouse tale, the TV movie story line — this being on a network geared toward women — opts to fictionalize one of the Green River Killer victims. A young woman named Helen (Hel for short; get it?) grows up miserably in a trailer park, sexually abused by her mother’s boyfriend. She runs away and winds up as a prostitute on the Sea-Tac strip. And even after she’s killed she continues to narrate the movie, talking long about destiny.

Im so glad that the green river killer was caught but I used to believe prostitution was wrong and stupid until I heard about this murder. Yes it is true some women do choose this life but some women feel like they have nothing else to live for they feel as if no one cares so they want to be and feel needed so they find it here, on streets. Some women may need money for family or school or something else and they know no other way to get it then by prostitution. Could this happen again? The answer is yes. So why dont we do something about it and give these girls some hope we are all important and im not saying you have to believe in god or find faith in him. I understand some people believe he isnt here but give these women faith in themselves and let them have a chance in the future. I dont understand everything that happens but now we know protect everyone including prostitutes and remember they all have a story and they are all important in every way. They are people to and maybe we all just need to realize what can happen and that maybe they have a reason. The thing that opened my eyes to this situation was the lifetime movie “The Capture of the Green River Killer” after I watched this movie I did some research and realized so much. Help prevent prostitution and the dangers of it. Dont let there be another Gary Ridgeway.

i wonder why did he kill prostitute nd not regular woman.well he killed prostitutes becuz he knew dat they was easy to pick up nd he dislike prostitutes nd helen remus was not one of his victim he thought she was a prostitute becuz how she was dress nd lookin but helen was never a prostitute or a hoe

Helen Remus was not one of the GRK’s victims. She is a made up character used to tell the story from the side of one of his victims.

Helen “hel” was one of the victims, but he never admitted it, but he said he experimented with her and strangled her while looking into her eyes, and she pleaded for mercy. She was never found, but she was a real person, and a real victim

If you are truly interested in The Green River Killer..read the book published by Ann Rule. It is completely factual and an interesting read. She also wrote”The Stranger Beside Me” about Ted Bundy..

i just wanna say that Hel was an actual victim and its really messed up because the true familys of all those dead victims live with that pain and suffering because tehy had to wait and see if there daughter was alive and not dead. the GRK isn’t a joke and for some that thing it is well your wrong. Hel should’ve been found but that coward didn’t wanna say. I’m so sorry for Hel’s family. i just wish your daughter was found and you all have some peace. Gray Ridgway should’ve been dead but at least some of the family’s finally get to buried there loved one’s. the GRK is done and in jail and i’m really sorry for all the family and the souls he took. more for Hel… where ever you are i promise you will be found.

Helen Remus wasn’t a real person. Do some reading! She was a plot device used to tell the story of a typical GRK victim.

Helen wasn’t a prostitute her whole life after her mom kicked her out she went into prostitution when she started to date tht guy ….its sick what he did and there are so many girls that he killed that they havnt even found and he didn’t confess to the full amount of women he killed …im disgusted in him
